A new study revealed this fact that breast cancer cases are also linked to obesity and lack of exercises. Lifestyle factor has a major influence which may increase the risk of breast cancer.
Chairperson of breast cancer charity Christine Murphy Whyte told women to take small preventive steps to protect themselves against the breast cancer, which generally affects one in 12 women.
She also suggests that, “Appropriate lifestyle changes such as avoiding too much weight gain, increasing physical activity and eating a well-balanced diet where possible can reduce the risk of breast cancer”.
A research conducted by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) showed the fact that around 25 to 33 per cent of breast cancer cases were linked to obesity and physical inactivity.
Some of the ways by which women can prevent themselves from this disease include regular exercise, good healthy food, limited alcohol and red meat intake etc. Women also have to regular mammograms to detect and treat the disease as early as possible.
